How much grass needs cutting?
Give approximate length and width for each lawn section. Identify planted beds, paving and other areas that are outside the mowing request. Describe the current grass height and any especially dense patches. For a lawn hidden by long growth, disclose known rocks, irrigation and loose material rather than assuming the surface is clear. Can equipment reach every section?
Show the narrowest gate and any steps or level changes between the street and grass. Provide a gate width if the opening is tight. Explain whether equipment would need to pass through a shared driveway or occupied room. Lawn dimensions and the access route are assessed together; a broad backyard does not automatically mean ride-on equipment can reach it.
Which finishing tasks do you want included?
Identify edges along paths, fences and garden beds. Show sprinkler heads or lights close to the cutting line. Ask separately about lawn edging, leaf clearing and yard tidying so the desired result is clear. List bulky rubbish or construction debris independently of vegetation; those materials are not automatically included in a garden visit.
Where will the clippings go?
State whether an appropriate garden-waste bin is available and whether you want to discuss mulching or removal. Include the bin location and the route out of the yard. Waste handling needs to be agreed in the quote, rather than assumed from the mowing request. Keep pets away from the proposed work areas and explain who will provide access.
